Prior to my mentioning it, very few people had any information on the matter. I went into this knowing that Hardly Hungry didn't work for Vampires, so I actually expected Forever Full to not work either. I again note that I still have the option to purchase it on a Vampire. Even if the icon were a plate, remember that Vampires can also consume food, albeit most of it does nothing for them. Thirst is the equivalent of hunger for a Vampire, thus it makes logical sense for someone to assume that reducing hunger would reduce thirst. Lack of information and lack of re-use of systems from previous games is the problem. Thus, I would prefer you be generous in accepting that you knew better than we did, but kind to others and do not hold it over our heads by repeating what we are now well aware of.Īmbiguity is not the problem. I am far from new to the Sims series and it followed logical thought for me to assume that Thirst = Hunger for a Vampire. I would also request that, for some individuals, before you comment on how obvious it is that it wouldn't work, also remember that there are new and old players abounds who wouldn't necessarily reach the same conclusion as you. I originally thought it was, as I saw no reason to assume otherwise. Yes, I am aware that 'hunger' is not equivalent to 'thirst' in terms of game mechanics. This, along with the fact that the game provides no explicit visual statement that it does not work for the Vampire life state, and in combination with the fact that several of the new traits are 'baked in' to a Vampire's Powers, means we can end up spending tens of thousands of reward points on completely useless and redundant traits. The problem is that the game allows you to purchase it as a Vampire in the first place, even though it won't affect your sim, despite previous titles (Sims 3) going as far as locking out traits to certain life states or reworking/re-labeling traits to fit with a particular life state.

The problem is not that it does not apply, although that is frustrating and hardly makes sense. Because that was an expensive waste of points.Įdit - Nipping this in the bud, because I don't enjoy derailed comment threads: I would like to request that, if the developers are going to make new traits, that they provide some way of locking out traits that a life state cannot make use of, or at the very least mention that they will not work with certain life states under the patch notes. Please, please feel free to prove me wrong.
